I've only played with one in a DTAC shop for ~ 10 minutes. The first time I picked it up I thought it was a mock-up; it felt as though there was no battery in it as it felt quite light.

Maybe read some reviews on line, look at some Youtube videos and try one out in a shop?

Most shops also have the HTC One M8, the Sony Xperia Z2 is harder to find as of today I guess, so you can compare.

Thanks. I did all the usual - read reviews, picked one up and played a bit ...

Just looking for someone who had first hand knowledge having owned one and lived with it.

Busy at work now anyway but want to upgrade my HTC Desire HD which is giving me some grief after 3 years.

I got one in CM a week ago. I am a life-long photographer so am mainly interested in the cameras which are improving in leaps and bounds... so handy not to have to lug a camera around all the time.

I got the Galaxy Note when it came out a few years ago... was impressed with the big screen and the photos and videos.

Changed to Note 2 then Note 3.

I was mainly interested in the 4K video (UHD) of the S5 and also its waterproofing..... pity it came out in Thailand just too late for Songkran.

I do not use my phone every two minutes like the younger generation do but I noticed the battery runs down quicker than the large one on my Notes... but it is easy to change to the new Ultra Power Saving mode which puts it to sleep and it virtually hibernates and uses no power then...but takes about 30 seconds to come awake again when you cancel it.

If the waterproofing doesn't appeal to you then have a look at this ...

The Oppo Find 7 is in the shops but the Find 7a isn't yet ...coming soon.

Thanks for that. In Ultra Power saving mode does it come alive quickly when you receive a call ??

never received a call yet whilst in that mode. I still have my Note 3 and my main sim is in that....the S5 has a True 3G sim with a number I haven't given out yet.
