okay let me try again- do you know if i can get a multi- or triple entry visa for thailand in phnom penh or singapore?

As far as I know PhnomPenh does not like to issue any visa.

And you get a single in Vientane.

Penang is still best choice.

Can other members comment on KL or Singapore.

You are unlikely to get any Thai tourist visa issued in Singapore, especially if you have just arrived in Singapore from Thailand. Even less likely (if that is possible) if you have had back-to-back tourist visas.

Cannot comment directly on Phnom Penh but from what I have gathered from various past posts, it's unlikely that you'll find that consular office cooperative either.

Looks like you might just be stuck with seedy Penang. :o

Well ovenman do i have news for you.. Singapore have no trouble issuing non Imm O visas for those who are married to a Thai national. And i have all sorts of back to back tourist visa's and a host of other imperfections, such as a few days overstay here and there. All you need is a marriage certificate, dress half decent and smile at the lovely muslim lady, then presto, the next day you have 15 months stay in the Kingdom. Highly recommend it for those who are not too " keeneeow "...Enjoy.

That's not really news. Singapore will issue a multi-entry non-immigrant 'O' visa (i.e. a marriage visa) with the right paperwork, which you obviously have. The OP is looking for additional tourist visas to add to her current collection of back-to-back tourist visas. Unless the Thai embassy in Singapore has had a recent change of heart, they are known to not generally issue additional tourist visas to applicants that have just come from Thailand.

hrmm. what about kuala lumpur- that has to be better than penang! anywhere else anyone knows of?

Well I can add Jakarta to the list of the problematic. In my one attempt to get a tourist visa there last December I was refused immediately for not having an air ticket out of Thailand. I got a triple entry tourist visa from Penang just three weeks ago, and while I didn't think much of the Chulia area where I stayed, it was only for a single night: flew down from Bangkok in the morning and submitted my application, stayed the night and picked up my visa the next afternoon on my way to the airport for the early evening flight back (AirAsia). About as quick and painless as I think is possible. I guess it comes down to how much you want to make a trip of it rather than only take care of business. Sure, I also wouldn't mind a bit of variety like Phnom Penh, Singapore, Jakarta, etc. if they were available for a new visa, but they're always there to be used for the second and third entry.

And Penang itself may have just become a problem: Bad News...
