Popular Post Scamper
Everybody take a deep breath. The list of Thaksin/Pheu Thai/UDD targets for attack : - The Constitutional Court - The National Anti-Corruption Commission - The National Election Commission - The Senate - The Administrative Court - The Supreme Administrative Court - The Civil Court - The Criminal Court - the PDRC - Suthep - 57 other leaders - 300 PDRC stage speakers and other suspected intellectuals - Abhisit - the Democratic party - rice farmers - musicians suspected of being sympathetic to free expression - civil servants suspected of being sympathetic to free expression - agencies suspected of being sympathetic to free expression - companies and businesses suspected of being sympathetic to free expression - the press - the BAAC - bank unions and bank employees - national GSB account-holding customers - all election rules that keep the power and spending habits in check for a caretaker administration - all legal and constitutional restraints that prevent them from doing what they want to do All these at one time or another - though quite a few now are the object of concerted and constant attacks - have been the object of Thaksin, Phue Thai, or UDD scorn. All have been subject to harassment and intense criticism, and sometimes what Pheu Thai might possibly call " shaming " or " shunning ", disrespecting, or simply not acknowledging. Such a concerted effort to de-legitimize the efforts and opinions of so many is wholly without precedent. It has got out of control. And it has contributed openly to the current situation. Let's sack the EC commissioners. What a fantastic idea...The only one's with authority to authorize extra government budget .. ohhh wait if they do that then the King would also HAVE to invoke clause 7 as the EC commission is appointed by the King with advice from the Senate. But....but .. but according to the RED'S we do not have an operating Senate ... Good thinking Batman! Thaksin´s lapdogs is barking a lot today. Just cycled and walked home, Suk 36, Rama 4, Sri Bamphen, Chan, Charoed Krung and ate on the way. It is the most TV's I have ever seen tuned into the Red Channel. The live broadcast tonight is being very closely watched in Sutheps supposed home town. In the last Governor election, the Dems, beat PT by 1,256,231 to 1,077,899. That should be very worrying for Suthep and the Army. Add to that the few million Reds who live and work here whilst remaining registered in the North and I'd say damned right terrifying if they get riled enough!!! There is a very strong silent body of Red Support in Bangkok and they don't look desperate at all. I'd say they look very very patient and menacing. If they are his lapdogs, they are going to pack a very severe bite if they are let off the leash!!! Retain your dreams that Bangkok is a Dem stronghold. It is not and if they can't even rule Bangkok they (Dems, elites Army) will never suppress the country.

Well thanks for that compliment but I think it may be you who is brain dead or brain washed. The EC organises the election which is what they have always done and did in February. That was disrupted which they could do nothing about since they are 5 people none of which are Arnold Schwarzeneger, Sylvester Stallone, Steven Seagal ect. so they can't wipe out the protesters themselves. They need the police and army for that. The caretaker government has very sensibly tried not to use force. This is obviously to avoid unnecessary injury and loss of life and possibly also to prevent any murder charges similar to the ones placed on Abhisit and Suthep. They haven't refused to carry out an election but have advised that it might not be possible to run if there are disruptions again. this you would know if you weren't so lazy and read about it a bit more. Just because you think someone isn't doing what you want doesn't mean they are in someone's pocket. The EC called for the dissolution of the Democrats in 2010 which seems an odd thing for them to do if they were in their pocket.

" Those fools and idiots are closely followed by the ones who think an election will solve all the countries problems." Equally I don't think you need much foresight to realise not having an election is going to help much either Fortunately every one wants an election. Not sure where you got the idea they didn't. It is just a matter of when and are they going to make reforms before it or just turn that into election promises. More and more people on all sides are talking more about reform with a non partisan leader for a set period of time. The only one's who won't even talk about it are the PTP and red shirts. Personally I would be happy to at least see some teeth put into the election laws and a separate force from the police to enforce the laws. It would take for ever to get a police department capable of enforcing them. This force would be given the right to instantly jail people caught trying to buy votes. No Parole. Those selling their vote would be fined 5 times the amount of the bribe and those trying to intimidate them or watch over them when they vote immediate jail with no parole. The same for those handing out pre checked ballots to be put in the box. Also the votes would be kept under close guard to prevent tampering with them. Maybe some one there to help people figure out which box is the one they want to put their vote in. don't want ignorant voters like Yingluck putting there vote in the box they don't want to. All though in Yingluck's case it was not the box she wanted but it was the right box.
