With Suthep gone, you Pro non democratic gov posters should be crying, you lot will have no one now to use as scapegoat for your super failure to govern within it's oath it gave.

Not sure too many people would argue that the current Thaksin government has been anything other than very poor. I just can't believe that the democrats have let such an opportunity get completely obscured by Suthep......he's like a runaway train!.

This is May, not February.

I thought for a moment there I'd been reading your post at a thread from January, or perhaps from November last year - farmers, cars, rice.

Try to get up to date in your ramblings, okay? Did you catch the news there won't be a military coup? Let's start there. smile.png

God man, I think you're the one who doesn't get it. It certainly is May, and the sweetie is gone if you hadn't noticed by now. The money is still missing, the government debt is almost 25 billion USD - rising, inflation etc...etc...The time is not on your side. There is nothing to be excited about.

can we get this in a written contract and signed by him-just in case he forget afterwards.

We ought to have done that when PTP were voted in----election promisescheesy.gif

Backed the wrong horse didn't you!

How many is that now, 15 -16? Or have you stopped counting.

Not really as bothered as you think, you lot are a minute fraction of posters that do not recognize lousy government. All in denial to how they ran the country.

I am quite happy when Suthep goes, At least Thailand understands more now about the underhanded way PTP ran the regime.

No problems for me, my conscience is clear---I am just a critic of diabolical governing---that's all, say what you like.

One good thing came out of all this EXPOSURE. All these pro PTP posters are smiling at this ???? crazy.

As mother said it eventually will all come out in the wash.thumbsup.gif

When the protesters moved to Lumpini, I knew they had lost. This is more indication. The fix appears to be in for Thaksin to come back.

Stop me if you've heard this one before...............coffee1.gif

Election

Representative Constitutional Convention

Referendum.

Time has always been on the side of the government and time continues to be on the side of the government. Suthep, the PDRC, the judges, the advocates of a military mutiny coup d'état, the senate - they and their whole gang of feudalists - are unable to stop time or to turn back the clock.

Give up the ghost.

And keep on laughing cause it will help get you out of your doldrums.

Sorry mat I am the one smiling at your pathetic denial attitude to PTP.

Are your government intact ??? are they in a position to rip off any more ??? farmers waiting from Sept, 1st car buyers waiting, Failed lock stock and barrel. This mess started round October of last year and the ammart still haven't pulled off their overthrow of the government, not by any means.

Suthep and the PDRC always knew they had a finite time to succeed. The finite time was the election Feb 2nd and, at the most afterward, the March 3rd date for a parliament to sit. However, the ammart, Abhisit, the DP, Suthep, PDRC all misread the constitution and miscalculated both events and time frame.

So the overthrow of the government by any means failed and things got extended. And here we are now, 6-8 months down the road with every attempt to overthrow gone bust and more Suthep failures to come as May closes out.

I don't mind you PDRC guys are gluttons for punishment and self-inflicted wounds and whippings, but it's costing the country a lot in every respect.

Give up the ghost.

For once he has got something right: "the country has already suffered severely". Of course he won't man-up and accept any responsibility.

"Suthep vows to surrender ..."

The mess started in earnest with this amnesty bill. Did you condemn it??? Did you cry out loud ??? No because you wanted Thaksin back and pardoned ??? not face the other arrest warrants on him. ??

The original MESS started when the government did little to implement election promises. Wasted time trying to get the holy one back (Thaksin) Yingluck failed him.

To me it sounds like his ego has grown to enormous proportions...like the hopes and futures of all Thai people rely on his campaign to route out corruption (probably only to make way for his agenda annd turn to be the corrupt one). It almost sounds childish, like, "come out or the PDRC loses because I am dropping out." Personally, I think he is full of it and, regardless of the turnout, he will remain in the fight. He is just trying to mobilize and recruit new supporters due to dwindling numbers at the protest. Interesting it comes after Judaporn's "referendum" suggestion, too. Looks like a game of "saving face" which is really a game of who can sling the best buffalo poop.

I don't think I have anything to give up. I'm personally satisfied that people stood up to autocrat Shinawatra and stopped his dirty schemes. In the long run Thailand can only benefit from it. You are the one who just have to give up the dear leader in exile and things will sort out by themselves.

Give up the dear leader.

Not so well looking from the surface.

The rally is ongoing already 6 months. They should fully aware of the ptp characters. When did ptp ever succumb to people's demand?

Yingluck and her co also hold onto power until the CC ruling kick them out. Even after the ruling they still finding loopholes to counter the ruling, holding the authority. Look at the chalerm, is he still the head of the capo? Officially he is nothing, but we know he doing remote control at the back. So even now the anti-govt protesters willing to come out again in millions, will the rest of the govt ministers resign? I don't think so. Many of the public know of the govt wrongdoings, but they can't do anything to them. This is the most angry part for the public, i guess..

Big boss daddy in Singapore is laughing hard now.

Seeing that his plans are in tatters I recalled the other day that the mad monk said if suteps plan fails I have my own.

Well apparently is was to lead a rally of yellows down in hua hin outside the palace and that has even got off the ground as the people down want nothing to do with him.

If that was the big back up plan it's another dismal failure

Oh dear the clock is well and truly ticking!

It may well be he has run out of money to pay his barmy army of protesters, and his thugish guards.

I think you will find this is the way for Suthep to exit before the Army Law in enforced which will lead into civil war

This is all calculated I know many experts here on TV find this all a big joke but think a little bit ...elites with crazy money are behind this do you think they have just said ..ok Thaksin is not so bad we will let him have all Thailand w00t.gif

It is your clock battery that's running out, you lose, critics of government are the winners if you can call it winning.

PTP =dismal failure.--protesters on the winning side---opening up a smelly can of PTP worms. and you lot on here are still thinking all the others are wrong.

Do you honestly think when Suthep goes your out of the woods----think again, get em in court one at a time. keep em coming. Ha Ha and I lose ????

I'm anti-fascist, not pro Thaksin. All this time and you can't get that straight in your own little world of the feudal Thai elites and their feudal fahlang.

Your post above as with a few others here waxes philosophical, same as a concession statement by Gordon Brown, Julia Guillard, Mitt Romney, Abhisit himself. You know, the standard we lost statement - the my conscience is clear losers musing, the we raised people's awareness self-comforter, in the long run we (fill in the space), I'm personally satisfied - and so on and so on.

Have to re-cap as you lot have forgot what all this is about. Shame kids shame.

I'll take you up on that, Ginjag. What is this really all about?

It is a strange and volatile scenario. Suthep came out and people followed him because the current situation is pissing almost everyone off. Then he went haywire and threatened the appointed senators that he would take matters into his own hands. Then, in a stroke of genius, while the dust settled from that bomb, Jutaporn insults General Prayuth. That was as patently stupid as trying for after-midnight legislation (a trick learned from the US Congress, by the way).

These idiots could screw up a one car funeral.

Now it is the final final final final final final final final final final final final final final final final push where he intimidates TV stations into not filming the crowd and says "I still have a million protesters and I am not getting off stage". On camera, shot the right way, 100,000 can look like a million. Piece of cake for any third-rate special effects artist.

He's not going anywhere, no matter what happens from his 'supposed call to abdicate' (and everyone knows it), and the PTP continue to front leaders who have all the intelligence of a pair of shoes (and everyone knows it).

In a similar vein, channels 3, 5, 7 and 9 will all be off the air tomorrow all day because H1N1 virus has stricken all the SEAG (Sound Affects Artists Guild -- they not know Engrish spell of Effects). Regrettable, there are no Thai TV (or politics) without a slide whistle, saw bow and ahh--oogha horn. Rumor has it that the Reds stole all the six sound effects files during the PDRC raids at broadcast stations (under cover), including the rising Scooby Doo slipping feet sound effect, and the entire ascertainment industry will come to a screeching halt. (Sarcasm alert inserted here).

Apparently, even in the ascertainment industry, there are terrorist thugs around every third-hand corner....and that still leaves us visitors two out of three Sois to bank around.

I think they both may realize by now that the only real solution will be a democratic one because of the international community's recent statements and the threat of the downgrade of the credit rating of Thailand. Before this, Thailand's economy was healthy and vibrant and now it is like a sick child. Again, too much confidence and not enough foresight in my opinion. SOmething I see time and time again here.

one can only hope

so sick and tired of listening to this numbskull

No doubt he will count the protestors, the same way as he explained why the yellows vote should be worth 10 of the reds, a disgusting statement. This is how he is going to win red votes, i dont think, the man is an idiot

  • Popular Post

I don't believe a word he says. He is trying to get sympathy from the people who used to come out and support him. He will just say he has a million people and continue the protest. However he will need a lot more than a million to win a victor over the government. There is not great victory for him, the government or the Thai people. Have elections now is the only way you can have reforms in the laws and in the constitution. No other way. Elections, reforms and than another election.

Only crackpots believed anything Suthep ever said and I agree with your post that Suthep simply will declare a million people present and continue on in his mad way.

Still, the more Suthep and the PDRC continue, the more likely it is they will become completely isolated, which should also prevent them stopping the next election.

So I would politely modify your sequence a mite to say elections, a representative constitutional convention, referendum. So that would be

Yes I think so.

What I would like to know from you PTP/red shirt supporters.

Do you honestly think this Govt is / has been run in a democratic manner as you would know in your own countries or any others?

Do you believe this Govt is pure a driven snow, not have committed numerous and blatant acts of corruption, cronyism, and nepotism?

Do you believe this govt populous policies where well thought out and for the benefit of all Thai people or only a select (very) few, and merely unsustainable campaign promises?

Do you honestly believe this govt has acted in a unbiased way to all Thai citizens and not shown total (biased) favoritism towards their supporters (red shirts)?

The last thing.

Do you believe that the anti govt protests are actually a bad thing and these people have no gripe of the current govt?

but as he believes in reincarnation he maybe counting 20 lives for each protester? maybe the fake monk has blessed him with this 'gift' of life multiplication?

Never cared for him. His fight started just. But turned into a personal thing. Suthep gone doesn t mean the problem is gone. The problem is an intrinsic corrupt Taksin controlled Government. All the failed populist strategies to get votes. Has left the state coffers empty and the poor farmers disillusioned. And even poorer. The worst example for the people is how they cling to power, take no responsibility and only help their own. They ARE the ELITE. They are in government. Anyone who can t see that has gone for the mindless red rhetoric.

1995 To present corruption scandal[edit]

As part of the Sor Por Kor 4-01 (สปก.4-01) land reform scheme, Suthep gave title deeds to 592 plots of land in Khao Sam Liam, Kamala and Nakkerd hills of Phuket province to 489 farmers. It was later found that members of 11 wealthy families in Phuket were among the recipients. Suthep addressed a huge crowd in his Surat Thani constituency a month before a no-confidence debate and called on his supporters to march on Bangkok in the hundreds of thousands to defend his reputation.[5] The scandal led Prime Minister Chuan Leekpai of the Democrat Party to dissolve the House of Representatives in July 1995 in order to avoid the no-confidence debate.[6] In subsequent elections, Thai Nation Party won a majority, leading to the downfall of Chuan Leekpai's Democrat Party-led government.

Wikileaks diplomatic cables from the US embassy revealed that many members of his own party have long complained of his corrupt and unethical behavior.[7][8][9]

I dont think anyone is claiming that the government hasnt made mistakes, but Suthep has damaged the country far more both in reputation and financially than the government has done in the past few years.

Lets remember that the rice scheme is a SUBSIDY program. Subsidy programs lose money in every country of the world. Thats how they work. There is no subsidy program that makes money. You make the money elsewhere and then use it to support the program. The excuse that the government is losing money with the rice scheme is stupidity of uneducated people.
