Hello, I need to renew my Non-O visa for another 90 days and also leave the country.

I'm hoping to do the following in order:

1) apply for a 90 day extension of my visa 30 days early,

2) get a re-entry permit at the immigration office (Ladprao Imperial World),

3) leave the next day out of the country prior to even my old extension expiring.

Effectively I'd like to give myself 3-4 months of being out of the country without having to apply for a new visa abroad.

Is this possible?

More importantly, has anyone done it before in the last few weeks or month?

LAST TWO QUESTIONS...

If I need to get a 30 day extension (on top of 3-4 month re-entry permit), can I do this at a consulate abroad or must I be in Thailand to do so?

Would I have to get another re-entry permit abroad if possible?

Thank you in advance!

Wfat type of visa do you have where you can get a 90 day extension? The only one that I know of is an ED visa and if that's what you jaave how do you intend to go to school when you are out of the country?

There is no 90 day extension for a non-o visa. If you have a multiple entry visa you have to leave the country every 90 days.

Or are on an extension of stay and calling your 90 day reports an extension. if so you cannot do it that early and if leaving the country before it is due you do not need to do it because you will not of been in the country for 90 days or more which is what the report is for.

A re-entry permit will be valid up to the date your permit to stay runs out. It does not give you any additional time.

You cannot get an extension of stay anywhere but at immigration.

Sorry for the typo.

I have a Non-immigration education visa not at non-o visa.

How come I cannot edit my original post now?

But still the question of whether or not I can extend 30 days early and leave prior to my old extension expiring...has not been answered, or has it?

You can only do an edit for a short period of time and if you leave the forum that ability goes away then.

A re-entry permit will only be good up to the end of your most recent 90 day extension. If the school can provide the paperwork early enough you could possibly apply up to 30 days early (45 days at some offices). That would give you about 4 months on the re-entry permit.

You cna extend 30 days early, with proper paperwork from the school of course.

Be careful about meeting the requirement of studying 4 hours a week on avarage.

You will get 90 days from the date your current permission to stay expires, unless you study at a university. You cannot extend your stay while abroad. It would mean getting a new ED-visa.
