Is kissing in public not allowed in Thailand ?

Recommended Posts

Gov? I don't think so. However kiss on public -- not allow in Thailand.

BS... I would have been arrested and deported a number of times... of course it is not the Thai / Buddhist way to show that kind of affection in public, but definitely not forbidden... one reason Thai women don't want to neither kiss nor hug nor walk hand in hand with their loved one is that they are afraid to be judged as low-class / bargirl / wh***...

I still remember the shock on my wife's face when I gave my wife a quick peck on the cheek in the back of a taxi flying back from Koh Tao, our 1st romantic trip away, priceless! emot-kiss.gif

The very first Thai girl I ever took out, took my hand immediately, and then we held hands all night ( not a bargirl. but has university degrees) but no kissing, even when we parted and agreed to meet the next day,

The majority of my youth was spent with a thick, wet tongue glued to the back of a girlfriends throat...sometimes for hours. That being done in just about any place imaginable.

Sad to think that the best I can get now is a quick sniff on the cheek.

Come to think of it....those french kissing sessions were over rated anyways.

The last time I was in Bangkok I spent the day with a lovely Thai gal. She was always wanting to hold my hand, and she gave me plenty of hugs in public. I think she even kissed me a few times while we roamed around in MBK, especially after I bought her new shoes.

Not a bar girl. But come to think about it . . . she was sort of, kind of . . . an escort?

...I have always wondered why tomboys are allowed to explicitly touch grope and kiss in public......

What is a 'tomboy?'

A little girl who eschews dolls, likes to rough-house, catch frogs, do sports, and other 'boy-like' activities?

Thx for many replys!

To make it clear , this are not my phantasys this are life story's that realy happen! Otherwise I would not post it!

Near my hometown , a farang married a Thai wife stay 2 years together , then there was a chrismas celebration party by his company!

A female working coleauge come to him to hug him, the Thai wife see , run outside of the room , after he arrived at home 10 minutes later, the kitchen in the house was on fire !

Only because of hugging! Happens in farang land!

Ya! That is what a Tomboy is.

I think the poster meant "Toms" which is far different.

As in a woman being the man figure in a woman to woman type sexual relationship, or otherwise.

My wife refers to "toms" as "tomboys". I think the tomboys the OP of that topic meant the women who tape their breasts, have men's haircuts, west men's clothes and have girlfriends who the touch and sometimes grope and kiss in public.

We were in a restaurant and I asked Mrs. G why a young couple there seemed to have to problem with PDA. The "boy" couldn't keep his hands off his girlfriend. She said "he" was a tomboy, if it were a male boyfriend, that would never happen.

Don't know why but that's life in Isaan. I don't think the same leniency applies to ladyboys and men.

Tomboy is the term used here in Thailand to describe lesbians and I believe it is the case in other countries too.

My girlfriend will give me a peck on the cheek in public, but then she used to work abroad and is maybe more used to these things. But certainly no full on French kissing.
