Featured Replies

So just arrived to pick up my son from school.

Think ive seen it all now , two students, one im guessing around 6 or 7 and his elder brother ( 14 / 15 ?)

Both in school uniforms.

They Walk to the car ( nissan march ) together , no parents , the elder one gets in and promptly drives away !!!

No one bats an eyelid except me.

Phew!! For a moment I thought you were going to say that the younger boy was driving.

So no problems there then whistling.gif

Youngest one cant drive , hes still hung-over from last night , silly !

On the way to school today, I saw an 8-9 year old driving a moto-bike,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,with his 4 year old sister on the back.

Shoot in Wyoming I taught both my sons age 6 & 8 to drive my truck on freeway inside Indian Reservation just in case i had a med emergency and they needed to get me down a mountain 45 miles to nearest hospital! In Idaho at age 14 you can have a state driving license! Don't see a problem!

I swear I saw a 10 year old driving a motorcycle - with his slightly older sister( presumed) on the back- going very slowly on the narrow part of 4025 just west of Heroine Circle, a real hazard to everyone and having a good time he was, until I actually yelled at him to get off he road.

I was so pissed I considered following him home and giving his parents hell. I'm sure they couldn't care less.

Don't see a problem!

That is a big problem.

i sometimes have to pick up my daugher from school (remember those thing, schools i mean, we used to have then in thailand!). anyhow, usually i don't mind driving my motorbike around here but between 5pm and 6pm in a school zone is a nightmare. teenagers, boys mostly, ziping around like humming birds on crack. scares the khee out of mee

That is the same logic as guns dont kill people, I KNOW many Americans truly believe this.... but history tells us.....? In Pakistan & Saudi at age 6 (female) you can be married to a man of 40 or 50, do you see the problem??

At 14 you cant drink because??? your a child and not responsible & other associated health issues, At 14 you cant vote because? your a kid & not mature enough...... I do

i think 14 year olds have sailed around the world solo, climbed everest, and got flying licences (not the same kid). it depends on the kid.

those in question would be the embodiment of 'exception'.....

My concern is this - he may be the best driver in Thailand but he is unlicensed, if he is involved in an accident (minor or major) the liability is whose? Supposedly his? He will have no money (I presume) to pay for damages, his parents (?) .... maybe. You, as the other person involved, end up claiming on your insurance and end up out of pocket all round as you lose your no claim bonus.

Lets see if you are still saying that if he knocks down your wife or kids..

Maybe you will be ranting like us then...

I've driving since 13 with a very good safety record. Now in USA many people would be afraid I too elderly to drive!! 555 !! Those I'd love take on a motorbike ride through city traffic after I double diaper them!! I prefer riding with the 13 yr old than my 32 year gf, at least the 13 would listen and pay attention to recommendations!! 555 :)

Weeeeeeeeeell, just shows us how daft parents are..................coffee1.gif
