Honda cb800f Hornet 2015

so rumors about became more solid. I was hearing hints and rumors about a higher cc Honda naked.

I am sure it is for competing with yamaha mt 09, kawasaki z800 and triumph street triple as Honda is losing grounds over there.

It says it will be around 190 kg! which is a similar weight with mt o9.

The components looks similar with cb650f so i guess it will be made in Thailand.

I m looking for a naked to buy for 2015 and was thinking Ducati Hyermotard but tjhis just came on time so i might g o forward on this.

And i hope Honda makes a fairing verison of it as well, a cbr800f as naked alone does not sell well. If they make it, sure i trade in my cbr650f right away.

If Honda makes it here and releases it next year, i want to get one for my city rides and commute and keep cbr650f for track and touring.

But i needs to be around 190 kg - or lets say not more than 195 kg - and it has to make at least 100 hp for a good wheelie ratio!

Moreover, hope to see upside down fork and an aluminum chassis.

It look salso beter than cb650f, sharper rear.

Of course price needs to be lower than 380 k thb with ABS and at least traction control included.

Sure, i am hoping and dreaming maybe and maybe it will not be made in Thailand or it will be porky at 210 kg again but we live with our hopes!

Come on Honda, you can make it but please make it in Thailand!

If you hear anything about this bike, please share!

According to the video it will have an aluminium frame and around 115 HP.

Price is estimated at 8000 euros, which makes it a bit more than 320.000 baht, sounds a bit cheap.

Maybe it is made in Brazil.

If it came my guess would be that it is priced

*slightly* lower than the new Yamaha

So probably 405k-415k-ish

PS: That air hose? looks like some kind

of forced air deal.

But looks a bit cheap sitting out like that with hose clamps etc

maybe honda used a turbocharger for this bike?laugh.png

And also sure your knees will touch that hose as it is so close to the area where knees grip the tank.

If they make it here, i believe a price around 380 - 390 k thb or lets say 400 k.

115 hp at 190 kg sounds good, very similar to mt 09. It looks like Honda saw the danger that Mt09 can create so moved this way.

Hope to see it here!

That sounds like a killer bike The hornet series is a dynamite bike. with an inline 4 my fovorite! And after kawasaki choking on their 800's not using aluminum frame . It looks even more attractive!

Sent from my GT-N7100 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

From the video above

that is cb650f.

Yankee, maybe they put it in the video for comparison.

I am sure it comes with usd forks, better brakes, an aluminum frame and sub frame, ABS and traction control so i can justify a 380 - 400 k thb for it.

This pic of the cb650f has something about it that makes the bike

look like it has a ton of rake up front

Looking at the specs (well 2 degrees more than 600rr)

I know it does not but this pic is almost chopper like

The camera that made the pic/video wasnt aligned properly. The front wheel is far above the rear wheel. Yep, looks like a chopper.

ohh my.. that will be pretty awesome.

Just watched the video. What they said is that people in Brazil were disappointed to see that the new CB650F would replace the current Hornet CB600F with a less powerful engine. (the current hornet puts 100HP)

but in fact the CB650F came to compete with ER6N and the yamaha XJ6, which are very popular over there.

the CB800 should replace the current Hornet and compete with the Z800. but there is nothing confirmed, just rumours.

The main advantages of the CB800F will be a lightweight aluminium frame, 115HP, inverted forks, better rear suspension and better brakes.

Crazy as it is, all big bikes in Brazil get 50% tax on top of the price and another 10-15% road tax. so the final price will be around 13200-14000 Euros over there.

if this bike is sold there, then it will be made there for sure. And if made there, possibly also made in Thailand.

Most bikes made here come there later. The CB500 came there 10 months later.

thats the cooling hose from the radiator exactly the same on the old 600 hornets ,knee does touch it a little but wouldn't say its in the way........
