Pattaya - The City of Soberness

Featured Replies

Look around you this morning, guys... look how all people around you look freshy having been granted an early bed time and loooong sleep... look how awake they are and nobody looks like having a hangover....

Long Live the Curfew clap2.gifcheesy.gifclap2.gif

Your statement is ridiculous.

For those who want alcohol they can buy it from any ware as before and stock up

if they wish, it makes no difference to the 10pm curfew.

If people want to drink all night they can still do so, just not in public places after 10pm,

but in the comfort of their home instead.

Do we lack some sense of humour?

Strange, only yesterday the OP reported that he wasn't in Thailand, yet today he can see what is happening in Pattaya.

you are correct in theory... but yesterday, the curfew announcement came on pretty short terms and I am not sure too many people either heard about it or had the time to stock up before the shops also closed...

friend of mine who is manager of a bar on beach road heard about it at 6pm and had to close the bar at 8pm (decision of the owner company) in order that his staff could reach home before 10pm...

7/11, Family Mart closed at 10pm. Enough time for everyone.........

Ive got a banging hangover. so much for a sober Pattaya.

Well I got a hangover, but I had to start at 5 in the afternoon.

I have heard many descriptions of Pattaya over the years...soberness...was not among them...

the non thai channels are working again for me

more proof that most farangs in Pattaya only care about booze and FFFF. What a city.

The mom & pop shop opposite my house did a roaring trade in beer as people bought it on their way home. I sat there until midnight with sevral other people.

I've had a lot of drinking hangovers back in the day.

I didn't know banging caused hangovers.

Even when the farangs in Patts are not drinking and hung over, they still look drunk and hung over. You have to be a troll lol

Yes. Are you not familiar with lame attempts at it?

At around 10 this morning many of the channels on Sophon were transmitting again. My wife has removed herself from clinging to the ceilings and now calmly doing her nails (tic).

Not bad for a change, though must be hard for small business owners and the bar girls after all it's their livelihood that's affecting.

oh well, if the girls arnt getting much action this week they should be kacking for it when i get there next week.........the poor chaps gonna look like ET's finger in no time.......

i know you are just joshing you old dog, but on a real note, the massage shops say on soi honey or soi chayaippon, + many others all oveer town

do most of there trade between 10am to 10pm and will eb little affected, bars, bar fining will be going on up at least 9pm and a bit longer,

it will affect gogos as a lot of bar fining takes place after 10pm

Soi 6 plenty of action 1pm to 9ish pm s

freelancers all over 10am to 10pm

so no problems
