Hi!

My wife told me she have no date of birth in her passport , because she born at home and not in a hospital!

For eu schengen visa could the missing date of birth a problem?

Many Thais told me often the have a wrong date or even a wrong year of birth in there passport, sounds like

A joke but true, mostly the wrong year makes them yunger , then the realy are!

In the past, and that is not so long ago, before a centralized registration, the date of birth was not noted on birth certificates, only the year,

Hence, older people only have a year on the ID-card.

Younger people could have a wrong or no date of birth in the paperwork in the Amphur.

So the ID-card will not bear a date of birth, and so will the passport.

Reason, date unknown.

Should not be a problem as a copy of the ID and/or passport should be included with the application.

It might be handy to get the birth certificate translated and legalized before.
