Tourist Visas in from the U.S.

Featured Replies

Here is a visa question from a friend in the U.S.

He wrote, "The NY embassy issues a maximum two entry visa. Which is valid for 90 days. I saw that either the DC Embassy or LA consulate can issue a triple entry visa and is valid for 180 days."

This friend hopes to find a job while in Thailand that will offer work permit.

What are his best options?

Thanks

A tourist visa is his only option until he finds a job.

The 2 entry visa would give him almost 6 months without needing a new visa. A 3 entry gives almost 9 months. This is done by extending each 60 day entry by 30 days at immigration.

Perhaps there is a honorary consulate near where he lives where he could apply for the visa. Info here: http://www.thaiembdc.us/dcdp/Thai_Consulate_Directory2.

Check Dallas Thai Embassy.

The embassy is in DC. Dallas is a honorary consulate.
