The Nation is correct when they say Tuesday (today) according to the letter the military published on the TV.

Thai curfew lifted in three tourist hotspots

BANGKOK, June 3, 2014 (AFP) - Thailand's junta said Tuesday that it was ending a curfew in the major tourist resorts of Pattaya, Koh Samui and Phuket imposed after last month's military coup.

The measure will be scrapped "to create a favourable climate for tourism", the military said in a televised announcement.

"The rest of the country remains under curfew," it added.

The curfew was initially introduced after the May 22 coup for the whole country for 10:00 pm until 5:00 am, to the dismay of the owners of bars and other late-night businesses.

The junta shortened it to midnight until 4:00 am late last month.

Great news ! The bags under my eyes were beginning to go thanks to the Boom Bar on Pattaya 3rd road closing before 7am. Now I can lie in bed at 3am and enjoy staring at the ceiling again listening to the music and screams of the drunk patrons.

Curfew cancelled in Phuket
Tanyaluk Sakoot

PHUKET: -- Phuket's curfew has been lifted, it was announced this afternoon (June 3).

The military’s National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) announced the cancellation of the curfew in Phuket, Pattaya and Samui around 4.20pm today (June 3), effective immediately.

The announcement was signed by NCPO leader Prayuth Chan-ocha.

The NCPO had earlier said it would consider lifting the curfew selectively in tourist areas.

The NCPO declared the curfew across the country on May 22, hours after a coup was announced.

The curfew was in force between 10pm and 5am, deputy army spokesman Winthai Suwaree announced on national television that evening.

Under the curfew, people throughout the country were prohibited from being on the streets between 10pm and 5am until further notice. Exceptions were made for those travelling overseas or coming from abroad, emergency workers, shift workers, and those who could show an urgent reason for being out and about during the curfew.

All education institutes across Thailand were ordered to close completely from May 23 to 25.

On Tuesday evening, (May 27) the NCPO relaxed the six-day old nationwide curfew by three hours, from midnight to 4am, effective the same night.
