I think it all depends on where you hang out and who you hang out with. Obviously, men who came to Thailand for the purpose of attracting Thai women are not going to go for a farang. However, there are organization and activities which attract lots of foreigners at which farang can meet farang if that is what you are into.

What garbage. I'm on a beach in Thailand surrounded by gorgeous European women in bikinis. The average Isaan woman who most foreigners end up with doesn't seem at all appealing right now, although there are some gorgeous Thai women too.

In response to the OP, western women get a lot of attention from western guys who know they have a chance. It's easy for the ugly old western guys who know they don't have a chance with a young western woman to pretend that they're not interested in these 'disgusting white feminazis'. Stop making fools of yourselves guys.

Setting bar girls aside. Generally Thai women are so much more pleasant, approachable, and friendly than most western women. Thai women care much less about a man's looks, body type, and age. Also, Thai women are much more romantically inclined and are very receptive to a man who is well groomed, smiling and joyful, funny, flattering, and respectful.

Note that I said "generally," so there are exceptions with both western women and Thai women. Also, remember, I'm not talking about Thai bar girls.

i am constantly amazed at what some will put up with in terms of a partner.

i think there are many among us who need to take responsibility for their own co-dependency issues, but that will never happen because they would need to admit they were complicit in their own undoing.

There seems to be a huge physical attraction between Oriental women and Caucasian men. Oriental women often have a good shape more so than caucasian women. They are reputedly smaller in every category which I have found to be true. Asian women often give men a lot of attention in all categories. At least for the first 2 to 3 years. Feminist ideas and equality attitudes do not prevail in Asia. These attitudes although I believe are good for the woman, seem to make western women like porcupines - just a little prickly- so stay back. No matter what the circumstance, in the west men are always open to accusations of harassment or worse ridicule. Asian women will let you know immediately if you are attractive to them without any judgement or backlash.

Let us face it, women world wide are attracted to money and power. Men world wide like to feel that they are to some small extent buying the women. It makes the men feel powerful and attractive. I have only met one man in this world who had women coming to him like he was a magnet. No money required. He was so attractive that he even got me a woman for free in 15 minutes. Poor fellow was obsessive compulsive and could not stop hitting on women. Interfered with his long term happiness.

I live in bangkok for 4 years and from what I see it seem to me that forigners guys who lives in thailand like to date thai woman more then woman from their own country or forigner as a same.

For dating for one night stand or marry.. So I guess because they live here because they like it here also asia women too.. Hardly to meet forignerswho dating foringer in another country... Maybe have some but most of forigners in thailand young- old like to go out with thai women more than us..

Yes you got it 100% correct as I see it. I would never in a lifetime spend the money to go and live in Thailand just to end up to take two steps backwards and date falangladies (again)....

I am deeply happy that i got away so to speak, and got the chance to find happiness in life here in Thailand. A happiness that falangladies from my point of view, never ever can give me... In my opinion, falangladys cant give anything at all fullstop.

I make it a point to associate with educated self-sufficient women. I have never had a problem with any of them paying for anything--and I am not a leach, I gladly pay too.

Difficult jobs like computer programmer, physicist . There will be a handful of women doing those jobs but if there is a cushy office job involving pushing buttons while chatting to mates then you can be sure that western women will have 90% of those jobs.

In all of my long life I have only ever seen one woman willingly pay for drinks in bar .

Why are women like this when they are over 59% of graduated ? They expect to find a stupid man to pay and sacrifice himself for her.

You seem to want to ride the high horse (high bicycle?) on this, but you're the one reducing it to sex. I personally find the Thai ladies I've met to be more fun and engaging ON AVERAGE than the women I've met in the West. I will lump Indonesian ladies in there with them ... also quite vivacious and fun loving. The ones I've had the pleasure to know like to joke and make you laugh... they're not so intense and serious about life. I've certainly not experienced any nagging like I've had from Western girlfriends (and especially the ex wife!). One can really relax with Thai (and Indon) ladies and enjoy life... Yes, I would say they're more hot-tempered ON AVERAGE, but they still couldn't hold a candle (or flamethrower) to my ex on that count.

While there are many attractive European women in Thailand , I just cant be bothered with all the crappy games they play , I left that behind me when i moved here.

Look simple If I wanted an American woman I would go to US or if I wanted a British chick go to the UK but if I want an Arab woman I'd go to the UK. Same if I wanted a Mexican chick I'd go to US. But I'm here for Thai women There a bit more shal we say Snug. Sorry ladies Black chicks too mouthy.

I know when I'm in Asia, I go into Asian women mode and don't notice other women. Just like I don't order chips in a Chinese restaurant.

The best chips I had when growing up were "chips in curry gravy" from Chinese take-aways.

I'm sure they were lovely, but I've always found it a bit weird.

I did see a Western woman in Thailand that turned me on about 20 years ago in Mrs Fields on Silom Road. We had a short conversation and she told me she didn't like Thai food, so was stocking up on pasties from home. The next day, she was on the front page of the Bangkok Post. It was Miss USA, visiting Thailand.

If she was Miss USA, then I'm sure she didn't say pastie.

I suspect he meant pastries..

I've only been here six months so I speak from a limited pov, but I must say the Thai ladies I've been involved with seem a completely different species than the female falang. I dated around quite a bit at first but now have a 4 month relationship going and going pretty well I might add. It's simply nothing like anything I've experienced back home in the US. My Thai GF attends to my every need and I don't just mean sexual. She's completely uninhibited in bed and that's a delight for sure but there are the other multilevel dimensions, just as important. No, maybe more important. Recently I had a minor crash on my motorbike. She's a masseuse and this inaugurated a whole series of Thai massages to the affected areas which went on over a week even over my protests that I was fully recovered. The massages are of course a regular thing. She gives me a body scrub once a week. She'll hold my hand, notice that my nails are a bit long and presto out comes the clipper and file. This leads to an inspection of the toes and she'll go after them as well. We spend hours in bed talking and horsing around, just stupid goofy stuff, but I've never laughed so long and hard. She cooks up hot curries and feeds me. She takes me to temple and shows by example the Buddhist way of worship. Then there's her beatific smile while looking long and deep into my eyes, just holding me like a baby. Yah. Sounds like a honeymoon, no? and maybe it is. Maybe it'll all come crashing down like a house of cards some time further along but the fact remains no woman back home, at any point in our relationship, ever had such a total attendant regard for my well being, on all the levels: physical, emotional, psychological. And it seems to flow so effortlessly from this young beautiful Siamese cat-eyed lady. She was just born to it. I find myself thinking: where did this creature come from? I won't hunt the political, historical, cultural differences in search of causes. I'm just crazy happy and enjoying every minute of it. I hate sweeping generalizations and simply offer an imperfect experience. No way would I ever go back to the western style relationships I've had in the past.
