Double Your Fun -- Expat Club Coffee Morning Now Two Times per Month, the first and third Friday of the month.............

Chiang Mai Expats Club Coffee Morning, 10:00 - 12:00 noon, Friday, June 6 at River Market Restaurant, 33-12 Charoen Prathet Road, at the foot of the Iron Bridge on the west side of the Ping River.

Come enjoy an optional breakfast buffet (220 baht for CEC members, 270 baht for non-members) or coffee. No program, just a chance to chat, meet old friends, make new friends and have your questions answered about expat life in Chiang Mai.

Gee Augustwest, have you been to the Coffee Mornings at River Market and General Meetings at Le Merdien in the past few months? The attendance has been up -- that's why we decided to have the Coffee Mornings twice a month. Obviously they're popular. Why not come along and see for yourself?

nancy, you are so diplomatic. often refreshing to read given the usual claptrap here. i'll be popping in for coffee come july. unless unforeseen intervenes.

Thanks for the kind words, Jobin. We had 70 people come today. Nice crowd, but not too much for the venue.

Be aware, though, that just when we decided to double the fun and expand Coffee Morning from one to twice monthly, we discovered a little problem with July. That's right -- the first Friday in July is the 4th of July. That may seem like just another date on the calendar of many people, but it's a special day at River Market.

For understandable reasons, Dave and crew doesn't want to host a Coffee Morning on July 4th. But, no worries! Instead, we've worked out a special arrangement where Chiang Mai Expats Club is one of the sponsors of the big Fourth of July party at River Market and the members of CEC will receive a 200 baht discount on their ticket, if they buy the ticket at a CEC function.

It seems the formatting tool bar isn't working, so let me emphasize, CEC members will receive a 200 baht discount to the 4th of July party only if they buy their ticket at a CEC function, like the next Coffee Morning on June 20 or the General Meeting on June 28.

So, Jobin, the only Coffee Morning scheduled for July will be July 18, but the party on 4th of July at River Market will be great fun -- not just for Americans, but anyone who likes a great summer party.
