Wise Words Coming From A Child, I See A Similarity To Some Isaan Farmers...

yes, the environment is a grave concern - however, the largest part in pollution (on planetary scale) doesn't come from western countries, it comes from developing countries, including China, India, etc.

I see a similarity to Isaan farmers, who only have the opportunity to watch the daily soap operas about the rich guys, with big cars, houses, guns and more.

Yes, the similarity bears the same dangers: destruction of a functioning society by welfare or destruction of a functioning society by green policies.

The best solution I see is to slightly revise voting rights - i.e. every person who pays more tax than it receives from social transfers should be allowed to vote. Net welfare receivers should not be allowed to vote for 2 reasons: first, I think it is not healthy when the beneficiaries of welfare can themselves influence how much welfare they receive, and second, I think it is a bit awkward to ask people who aren't able to sustain their own existence their opinion about how the country should be run.

"however, the largest part in pollution (on planetary scale) doesn't come from western countries, it comes from developing countries, including China, India, etc."

Where most product for the west are produced to feed the profit of the west?

They will produce for whoever buys.

Everyone wants a better life and to make a profit, any move by governments against this natural human urge is either doomed to fail or will lead to a very oppressive state.

I think it's very biaised to say they do it for western profit, it's just how the economy functions as a consequence of welfare/social policies in western countries, which inflate demand by distributing money.

But I concur with you that a lot of energy, work and pollution is wasted because of inflated demand and consumerism, which is promoted by western governments just to keep the VAT carousel spinning and to try to support the local industries (which eventually fails).

Therefore I also propose to introduce a minimum legal interest rate of 5% and to bind currency value to a basket of physical goods (zero inflation) - this should halt debt-fueled consumerism in its tracks and also ensure it is not financed by inflation.

You might consider to have a look here, as it's not in America's interest to let people know what's going on.

By the way, the steel for some American bridges are being produced by China, instead of giving jobless people in the States an income. One of the projects is steel for the San Francisco bridge.

The excuse is pretty weird. They don't have anymore steel factories that could do that. Why don't they build some????

And why do companies such as MAC ( Apple) and many others choose China to get their stuff produced?

Why are German sneakers and other goods produced in Thailand, China, etc..? And that goes on and on and on. M O N E Y.

I agreed, It is all to do with profit margins! Any successful business in the USA would deem it stupid to produce the goods in USA as there profit would decrease massively.

It all come down to GREED again. In the west greed can be translated into success!

Withgwrmsn subtitles amazing!

Critic society does not mean destroying !

It's helping to rebuild our destroyed nature!

The pollution of smoke is so strong, that the ocean wind streams transport the smoke of Asia in black ashes inside the ice of Antarctica over the half globe where is no civilization!

Was a interesting report on German tv!

The people who want to make money (businessmen, i.e. the people Display calls greedy) are not to blame.

Instead, ask yourself why producing in the USA, or worse, Europe, is not economically advisable.

Welfare. Taxes. Socialism.

True, very true in ways, there are many sides to this coin.

I also don't agreed with the welfare for nothing, In my country there are many who have never worked a day in their life and expect everything on a plate for them, and their still not happy. Also the many that are scamming the system dry while good honest people are working there asses of you pay the taxes to support them.

It sickens me! They should all be shipped over to countries like Thailand for a while on there own and see how they cope and how good they have it!

The answer to all your questions are quite simple "Because it's cheaper to produce" ! And that's what Capitalism thrives on,cheapness in production = higher profits, so why should they build new factories to produce something which will cost more??? to give jobs to westerners, who will want higher pay???

of which everybody is guilty, you would only buy shares in a company which is increasing profits every year,to do that they have to manufacture in low wage countries,so they are profitable and you buy more shares......until you are made redundant because your job just went to China. I'm so glad i am retired.

Why stop here? Why not abolish democracy altogether? Let's go back to the 13th century and let us be ruled by an aristocratic Elite, that decides how much a peasant is allowed to earn and who of the peasants is allowed to live on and who has to be put to death because of "revolutionary- activities"?

The future looks bright.

I only would like to get a conclusive answer by the advocates of "Globalization". How is it going to be in Europe/US, when the last job has been exported to China/India etc.?

A lot of unhappy campers there, I predict.

Only solace, this time around, when the hungry and huddled masses must "rectify" the situation, they will be able to operate the Guillotine(s) by remote control.

The future for Europe/US looks bright.

Cheers.

LOL - if you could forget for a moment your indoctrinated automatic reaction, I invite you to carefully think about it.

Ask yourself why the "one body one vote" system failed democracy in the past, i.e. anti-democratic parties win the election.

This happened for example in Egypt.

A growing number of people do not care about their contry, but only care about how much aid they can get from the government - these people are also not worried about taxes, since they don't pay any.

I say taxation is one of the most important pillars of a democratic society.

People who contribute to society earn the right to vote.

If you are Swiss, you know that unemployment benefits are paid by an insurance and that beneficiaries do pay tax on the compensation.

Europe, as well as the States are facing huge problems now.More immigrants joining in the social system let's say in Germany, but China's producing it much cheaper.

Even considering the cost for shipping, bad quality,, etc...

The future of Europe/America looks nasty.

There's a similarity to Thai rice farmers, as most of them can't afford it to buy a car, they don't buy too many goods that finally pollute the environment, etc..

If you follow this logic to one of it's conclusions, then all government employee's should not be allowed to vote. Then you would have to deny the privilege to all those who haven't been schooled in the various type's of governments and financial systems, in some depth and who aren't up to speed on world current event's. That would leave a very small pool of qualified voters. I agree with the sentiment in general, but have no solution to the issue. The world is just to big and complex anymore. Maybe the human species is not evolving fast enough to keep up with its growth. hummmm
