thai baby. first name and last name

IMO the child can be given any name the mother chooses

but not your family name, unless you are married.

Not sure why a passport copy should be needed.

The mother wants to list you as the father on the birth certificate.

She probably also want to give the baby your last name. If that will be allowed depends on the amphur. As you are not married, legally you are not the father. Thus the amphur can deny giving her your last name. Many will just register your last name.

Regarding the forename the rule is that the name must have a meaning in Thai, since the child is Thai.

Gf said i have to send photocopy of passport and sighn it... so she can have the babys name iv chosen and the last name of myself aswell.... is this procedure.... i dont want my identy stolen
