Three people hacked to death in a rubber plantation: Phitsanuloke

"The Burmese worker smelled blood "

How does blood smells?

It's not easy to describe how blood smells, but if you would visit a slaughterhouse, you will never forget the smell. It's kind of like raw pork only much stronger. If it's been out of the body for a while and in a pool, there is a strong odor of a butcher shop.

From my experience, one of the major characteristics of Thais, generally speaking, is the lack of premeditation or impetuosity with no thought of either the consequences or a 'Plan B'. Thais, in general, will not express anger or negative emotions until pressed too far and, because they have no culturally acceptable way to express those negative emotions, they explode and do things they may regret later. This society has very rigid rules of behavior and is emotionally repressed. I guess it comes from centuries of living in a feudal society where one dares not challenge the authority on penalty of death. Eighty two years, is seems, is not enough time for major attitude changes.
