TobyOliver
Hay everyone. I recently moved to Pattaya and already I can see how aggressively prices are rising in all areas. I have heard many people talking about Asean and the open borders to other countries in 2015 4q What will be the effect on prices in Pattaya? Primarily food, transport, labour (plumbers ect) and lady asking prices Thanks

PattayaPhom
Dont forget its a 2 way thing......for every one that comes, one may go......shouldnt really have much of an effect. If anything with free trade agreement certain items should be cheaper. Prices in Thailand have increased but mainy due to minimum wage requirements, subsidies, tax increases and normal inflation. Pattaya28
The OP is right. Prices are aggressively increasing. But it's not a recent occurrence. I believe the reason is Thai greed, not economic factors.
TobyOliver
It seems most Thais won't work unless you pay larger amounts of money. Negotiation just gets you ignored I guess many them (including the girls) are just waiting for the unsuspecting tourist these days.
