Seems that south american teams are stronger than european ones

Don't see it so far. Netherlands looks really good. Brazil did not look particularily strong. Let's see how Germany looks tomorrow.

I'm not sure that the S.A teams are stronger as such, although, that part of the world is and always has been home to some of the best players in world football.

You've also got to look at playing conditions - some of the these players from Europe will not have played in South America many times before. Some may even be playing in these conditions for the first time (look at half the England team yesterday as an example), so S.A teams may have a slight edge as the players will be more used to the heat and humidity.

Having said that, it is still early days. Let's revisit this question on July 14th

No. Brazil looked plain, Argentina looked laboured in parts, Uruguay got a "dry un" so I'd have to say that Italy, France, Switzerland and Holland, and maybe even England would see off any of them on current form.

Only Chile have looked decent from South America thus far but as they were only playing a pub side it's hard to gauge them really.

Germany is one of the best teams in the tournament most likely. Are you ranking Switzerland, and England above Germany lol.

In the long run the south americans will do better than the eurpoean / rest of the world due to heat and altitude factors.

The world cup has been held in south america 6 times and was won all 6 times by a south american nation, and on two of

those 6 times they beat another south american team.

There is an expression "statistics are for losers" not saying you but it is a non factor if anything European teams like German or Netherlands look strongest so far.

germany beat a european team portugal, holland beat spain, italy beat england. They might not look so strong if they played a SA team.
