Transport from Pattaya to Chiang Mai moving

Featured Replies

I got to move to Chiang Mai for a little while business related reasons

I dont have a lot of stuff with me but I need to

1. Send a box full of books up there probably about 40 pounds

2. I need to transport my honda click up there

What are my options

I presume one I can just send my boxes via mail

The motorbike what are my choices to get it up there?

Costs, companies that do it, time etc?

Also just curious sakes if one drove from PAttaya to Chiang mai how many hours is it about?

I

Boxes of stuff can be sent by the bus company Nakorn Chai Air in Pattaya on Sukumvit

Road. Drop it in the day, and it shows up early the next morning. Small motorcycle can

be sent by Thai post, which is the cheapest way. Check which office will accept it, I assume

the smaller branches will not.......Many people have done that. Or if you

want, the train can take it as well. So ride it up to Bangkok, and then put the bike and

yourself on the train. I have never done it, but my friends have and they say no problem.

Drive time to Chiang Mai, which I have done

many many times on a bike, is about ten hours..
