June 16, 201412 yr Hi, my first post - please be gentle. I am going to Thailand in July for 6 weeks and will return late august (25th after other visa changes that seem to be unannounced at the present time). I am in the UK and a UK resident, and passport holder. Should I get a 60 day visa from Hull or do a border run? TIA Bobby
June 16, 201412 yr Get single entry tourist visa. It will give you 60 days on entry which can be extended or 30 days at immigration for 1900 baht. With the current situation here I would rely on a visa exempt entry since you have time to get a proper visa. If you come without a visa you most likely will have to have a ticket exiting Thailand within 30 days of entry as the AIRLINE might not let you board your flight without one.

June 16, 201412 yr You should get a single entry tourist visa. Another reason besides those mentioned is that without a visa you can be denied boarding your flight if you don't have a ticket out of the country within 30 days of arrival.

Sorry wouldn't not would, Thank you grammar gods! Since we're being picky this morning! Joe: If you had read and digested my post with the typo you would have seen that I did mention the Airline problem with a visa exempt entry and could have refrained from responding at all. . June 17, 201412 yr Perhaps not enough coffee. But a little reinforcement of the point is good. Certainly no reason to take offense over my post.

Right is right, and wrong is wrong!! Accept it, eat it, and digest it... The whole contents of your sentence can be changed with wrong words.... Glegolo (swedish)

Glegolo (swedish) I accepted it, ate it and digested it, just a comment! Wayne (only half Swedish so I'm a mixed breed) Joe, No offense taken, maybe not enough coffee either. But just the continuing repeat of the answer to an OP over and over again gets old. Sort of like commercial breaks, challenges to ref's decisions and instant replay on sports programs.
June 17, 201412 yr Perhaps not enough coffee. But a little reinforcement of the point is good. Certainly no reason to take offense over my post. I prefer reinforcement. People come here looking for accurate info & there is "safety in numbers". Even a guy with 10K posts may be wrong 1% of the time. But two guys with 10K posts both agreeing? Less likely to be wrong. Five or ten such guys all in agreement? Virtually a lock. Edited June 17, 201412 yr by oldthaihand99
