Marriage Visa

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Was wondering where is the easiest place within Asia to get a marriage visa sorted? I have been living in Thailand for 10 years or so, and now feel the need to get a visa. I work offshore so the financial requirements are not an issue. I also have a child that was born in Thailand. I was hoping that would help but haven't got a clue where to start.

Thanks in advance

If you are married to a Thai the best place to get a multiple entry non-o visa is in Savannakhet Laos. This visa would give you 90 day entries for a year They do not ask for financial proof,

There is no such thing as a Marriage Visa for one thing, it is a Non Immigrant O Visa based on being Married to a Thai.

That's pretty helpful am really glad I came to this forum...

The terminology is the most important thing, getting it right helps others give you advice you will need.

It will also help you when at the Embassies or in Immigration in Thailand to communicate your requirements to the Immigration officer.

Terminology has been discussed many times and there is a pinned topic to assist you which should be read before posting.
