I just read the article. And indeed, the reporter neither comes to the conclusion that the red shirts are at their end nor that they are scum (nor anything else for that matter). Nevertheless, yellow shirt supporters can read the article with joy. He describes the current situation, which is obviously not very promising for the foreseeable future. JH is actually one of the few foreign correspondents who has sources within the militant red shirt wing. I haven't seen any others actually pin the blame on the red shirts. The only thing inaccurate about Jonathan's reporting is that the militants number "several thousand". Clearly it is unlikely to be that many. And they were not under the control of the UDD, but linked to peripheral figures - former generals associated with Thaksin direct the operations whilst certain MPs & local people of "influence" are often used to pass funding on... no different to 2010.

As we haven't seen or heard from him for a while he could just be explaining to the relevant authorities how he was able to make his predictions, as in helping with the inquiries.

I think you'll find Chalerm wasn't predicting anything . . . he was giving orders and suggestions . . . and I won't be at all surprised to see both PTP and UDD disbanded and all members barred from Politics once this is all cleared up.

Slight correction noitom. Because the military is removing all the layers of "protection" from the Thaksin side, the more honest Policemen are able now to do their jobs properly with the support of the Military.

It clearly shows the leaders care more about their own safety as the movement. Before they sid not worry much but now there is risk in it for them and no money to be made.
