Japanese car manufacturer made in Thailand -

Make, model, running gear, ?

MITSUOKA model HIMIKO, great big engine bay with a little 2.0 lt engine, crying shame. and costs 3,8 million !!

needs a V6 min, better a V8, V10 or even a V12, make it go as good as it looks, Of course this is just a copy,

The real car has a V8 and called a Morgan Aero

Edit:

Never seen a Morgan Aero here, but see a few MITSUOKA on the roads here... there small car seen far more here the Vewt only has a Nissan 1.3lt in a copy of a Mk2 Jag !!

Spot on. Mazda 3 running gear. They also do a Jaguar saloon "lookalike" which fails miserably.

the new Viewt has the new 1.2 lt 3 cylinder engine !! and cost almost 2 million baht.. very far from the 2.4, 3.4 or 3.8 engines of the proper Mk2 Jags...... there is a UK Company still making the Mk2 Jags, the engine now a 4.3 lt, but price is around £350 - 375,000....YES UK £...... so maybe a 3 cylinder 1.2 lt, sort of copy is cheap ??

one wonders with the new deals with China we may see the Chinese Land Wind X7 ? at a 1/3 of the price of the genuine Land Rover Evoque, maybe would do rather well here + with Mitz engine and running gear should be OK and looks the part..

Yes, it is a copy; not exactly a copy; made on a Mazda 5 platform

A subjective opinion ( mine ) I think the Himiko is more beautiful than the Morgan + 8 ;

I was in Chiang_Mai a few days ago and had the chance for shooting a Mitsuoka Himiko which was on the parking lot for luxury cars in front of MAYA Mall

Great hairdressers car tho. (LOL)

laugh.png i've heard XR3's called many things over the years . . but that's a new one! (i believe your LOL)

they were the bees knees boy racers back in '82 (if you were 18 and just passed your driving test wink.png) oh . . great days.

You guys were so lucky. The "hot rod" in my day was my Ford Popular 100E 997cc sidevalve. I tried a 0-60mph time trial once but it got dark before I got there LOL

The worst thing about the 100E was that the wipers were vacuum driven. A light throttle setting and you were almost flying. Change down to overtake, throttle to the floor and the wipers stopped. Great thing to happen passing a truck in heavy rain.
