tim armstrong
Some weeks ago I raved on about honey I'd got from our weekend market. I've since found out that it is indeed wild honey from north west of the hilltribe market between Tak and Maesot. It is the genuine article, and hasn't been diluted or mixed with anything. What makes it so good is that the sellers have made a lot of effort to present a very clean and simply packaged product. Haven't had so much success with info about getting into beekeeping yet.
soidog2
Somebody gave me this DVD to watch; was very interesting. If you are enterprising enough; you can figure out how to start a hive from a wild swarm. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2263058/ enjoy.
ClutchClark
Tim, I raised bees for some years in the US. First thing to make sure of is that you are not allergic to bee stings. I had never considered the risk and a neighbor got his starter kit and bees and got stung. Only then did he learn he was allergic to beestings and had to be rushed to the ER. You may want to spend the money on an Epi pen to keep with your "kit" in the event you or a friend is allergic to the sting. Good luck! There are few activities more enjoyable than raising bees.
