90 day report on education visa

Featured Replies

Hi. I have a 1 year education visa from a school in phuket. Recently I have taken a break from the school and have come to bangkok.

In 2 weeks i must do my final 90 day report on the 1 year visa.

I would like to do this in bangkok to avoid the time and cost of travelling back. I understand that with a normal non-immi b visa you can change your address and then do the 90 day report. Is it possible to do this with the 90day report for an non-immi-b ed visa?

I suspect you have an extension of stay not a visa. If you had a visa you would not need to make a 90 day report.

You can make your report in Bangkok but you will need a local address to put on the TM47 form. You may also be asked for proof of that address.

No. Its a visa. In my stamp it states i can stay until 28th sep 2014. But that i must report every 90 days.i have a stapled paper attached from my last 90day report stating i must do so again in the next few weeks and reads 'this is not an extension of stay please notify your address again on..'

You have an extension of stay. Look at the stamp that you got from immigration inside your passport not the 90 day report receipt.

If you had a one year visa you would be leaving every 90 days instead of making reports.

The stamp in my passport reads 28th september 2014. I received this stamp in january when i extended my 3 month ed visa to 1 year. They then told me to do a report every 90 days which i have been doing.

The stamp in my passport reads 28th september 2014

And it says extension of stay permited until 28 September 2014 (or something close to those words).

My question is whether or not the 90day report must be done at the office I recieved my visa. Somebody told me that with an ed visa you must do your 90day reports at the location you study

As I wrote in my first post you can do the report at immigration in Bangkok.

To follow this up. The answer I got above turned out correct but not entirely accurate. When I went to do this and they saw I had an Ed Visa from Phuket they sent me to another room where I was interrogated for 20 minutes as to why I was not doing my report in Phuket. Testing my thai. Asking me about phuket and my school. Telling me that I should be doing this in Phuket. I was quite sure at this point that id have to travel to phuket the next day, and then by what seemed like luck, someone walking past, stopped, looked at my documents and signalled them to let me do it. They then made it clear I wont be able to do this again
