chrisinth
OP, do you consider yourself a genius on Thailand because you are here at the minute? I know people who visit Thailand from the UK who have in all likeliness forgotten more about this country than you will ever acquire regardless of how long you have been here. They once told me about buffalos, ladyboys and why girls wear numbers in night-time entertainment venues. Their knowledge of temples was somewhat vague, but there you go. I remembered most.........................
Popular Post SDM0712
I think it is relevant because the actual experience of someone who is here for only a few weeks a year makes for a very different opinion to those who live here permanently and have done for years. To give an example professionally I deal with so many people (men mainly) who after a few holidays here decide to sell up at home and move here to start a new life. The reasons I am given are things like; the people are are so genuine, kind and friendly, everyone smiles all the time, nothing is a problem, it's so cheap etc etc etc. The advice I normally give them, that is rarely followed, is don't sell up at home, come to live here for 6/12 months and then decide. I followed it up by saying that things are not as they appear at first, it's still a great place to live, but they should see the true picture before doing things that cannot be undone at home. Personally I try to make my posts either pure fact, or opinion based upon fact. SDM

There is a conversion rate that immigration put out regarding the wife plus your own kids v weekend millionaire ratio. Another one re bg/gf wife plus non own kid v weekend millionaire ratio. Can't remember which was higher.
