Serenade Co.,Ltd announces the recent acquisition of the Dupont Waterbed Brand.

Since its introcuction to the Thai market, Dupot Waterbeds have enjoyed outstanding success and is the undisputed market leader today. Serenade is a Thai company focusing on products in the area of sleep, wellness and health. Dupont waterbeds will have a central place in this portfolio as waterbeds are widely regarded as one of the most comfortable and healthiest mattress systems available today.

Khun Nipaporn Tilachai, Managing Director of Serenade Co.,Ltd. expects the waterbed market in Thailand to grow steadily. In Europe and North America, the market share of waterbeds is about 5% while Thailand and the rest of South East Asia are still below 1% and this despite the tropical climate being ideal for water mattresses. The advantages of water mattresses in terms of hygiene are more significant in a humid environment; furthermore, water provides a more pronounced cooling effect in the tropical heat.
