Good day to everyone, would like to ask some suggestions about my topic, or what type of visa i should posses while looking for a new job. Also i'm aware of the issue about tourist visa crackdown. Response is much appreciated.

You can look for work apply for a job and get it on a tourist visa. You can also apply for a work permit on a tourist visa.and it will then be issued when you have a B visa.

I am sure a number of people have arrived here on a tourist visa in search of a job, I did many years ago. I think in theory you should apply for a non I'm B, or something, I may be wrong, but I very much doubt that it is a problem. If you are going to be spending a bit of time looking for a job would certainly suggest that you obtain a suitable tourist visa from your local embassy or consulate before travelling, as it appears 30 day stamps are just that, and not quick hop across and back

A tourist visa gives a 60 day entry that can be extended for 30 days. What do you mean by 15 days.

had read this from a legal firm service site "permitted to stay in Thailand up to 30 days if entering via int'l airport, 15 days if entering through land boarder checkpoint under the visa exemption rule"

Tell the legal firm to learn that is 30 days at land border for G7 countries passports, of which many of their foreign clients are.

yes paz, they're knowledgeable enough about visas. The line i stated is for particular countries not in the G7 list.

That is not a tourist visa. It is 30 day visa exempt entry by air or 15 by land.

You should apply for tourist visa that would give you more time to get the job and the work permit application done.

You can look and apply for a job here on a tourist visa and in some cases apply for a work permit on a tourist visa but it wont be processed until you have a non B.

To my knowledge you cant apply for a non B without a job or business because they need to see the employers/company letter of appointment ect. ect. If you are applying for a teaching position they want to see a whole lot of documents from the school, your certificates, ministry of education and so on.
