I sadly shipped mine from Samui to BKK with BKK air no problem. They need a vets all clear to travel and a passport for the dog showing it has had its vaccinations and secured in a proper fight cage. I am led to believe most airlines are the same ? As long as it is in a travel cage what does it matter what breed of dog it is ?

I've asked numerous airlines such as Thai Airways, Philippine Airlines, Malaysian Airline to name a few. All said can not ship because of their snub nose or that they are dangerous.

What paperwork? The health certificate from a vet?

The health certificate, the vaccination certificates, everything that is needed.

You would need to check regulations in Manila of what is needed to import a dog.

It is not just put it on the plane and fly.

Each country has its own rules.

Many airlines will not fly a dog from an individual, but would through a pet carrier company.

I am not sure about Manila customs, but when i brought my pensioner bullmastiff, i was advised by a pet carrier that Thailand does not allow them and which airlines would take them.

They also suggested the change of breed.

When she arrived here, customs and local vet had no clue at all as to what breeds suppose to look like,

Vet and customs officer looked at her, and asked, wow, is this a Labrador? to which i replied, yes a cross.

She is a pure breed Bullmastiff laugh.png

Never, never ever say those two controversial and polarising words in the same sentence. Never say Pit Bull. Say its a staffy or Amstaff or bulldog or a Thai dog for that matter. I run a kennel in Udon Thani and ship all over the world. As long as they have their vet check, puppy passport and all relevant paperwork you should be sweet I would be more worried about the country of destination but again with the Phillipines you will be fine. Most people couldn't pick a pedigree A.P.B.T out of lineup with 10 similar dogs anyway. I brought a pup up from Pattaya 2 years ago who was less than 10 weeks old and Thai Airways let me buy a seat on the plane and travel in the cabin with me ( at child prices too, cost me 600 baht they even issued a ticketcheesy.gif ). In a box of course but the hosties made me pull him out for a little look while we were in the air. With older dogs it is a different story and it is the stigma attached not the dog itself that is a problem. What could a A.P.B.T do in a travel box that a rotty, bulldog, bull mastiff or dogo argenitino couldn't do? It's in a box for xxxxx sake
