New Rule ( Or Old One Now Enforced..) Register Address Upon Entry?

Featured Replies

Sorry if this is covered elsewhere but thought I saw it mentioned as part of " new " rules being enforced

Just came back in last week with a new Non B and 90 day entry permission.

Do I need to go to immigration and register my address? I'm in Phuket and am at same address as before.

Anyone? Thanks in advance

Er excuse the bump but anyone have any idea?

The owner of the place you are staying in does. So if it's yours then yes

Thanks for that. The owner is a foreigner and reside overseas, so how does one do this , is it online? In English?

Ok for future viewers;

From info another thread I have decided this is not necessary for residents and from the immigration web site though that certainly isn't the definitive authority on the labyrinth of Thai Immigration law. http://www.immigration.go.th/

and going to the tab : Notification of residence for foreigners..

taking one to :Notification of residence of foreigners for businesses

So this is for hotels catering to tourists, or those renting out private accommodation which apparently should be businesses, but of course aren't- usually.

I think any foreign residents, those who have Work Permit or even just Driver's Licenses need not be concerned unless they change their address. I would keep a copy of that FREE Certificate of Residency you needed to get that DL or WP just in case, or hell... ask for two or three as they are FREE !! Remember to take a pic for each one.
