In Pong Nam Ron you can see a sign (but only in Thai script) Without guarantee!
astral
Check out the prices in the local Cambodian shops away from the border area. They may well be cheaper than the "duty free"!!
monsieurhappy
The alcohol may not be fake but it has probably been watered down by 50% or more. A friend of mine who came back from Cambodia a few weeks back bought a bottle of Johnnie Walker Red and asked if I'd try it. Yuk! I couldn't tell what the alcohol was but it was more than half water. Even the colour was much paler than the real stuff. A much better option is to buy a bottle of Mekong or Sang Som in your local supermarket.
