Visa Question?

If come come in via flight with my American passport and visit my family in Thailand but something happens and I have to stay for a longer time span. Do I go back and use my Thai passport or something and void my other or do I do something else? My grandmother is well old and my father is ageing as time passes. I visit but I come in as an American I have a Thai card and passport but don't use it yet. What are my choices or concerns I have to worry about with all these changes?

When you come to Thailand, you enter and leave using your Thai passport. That will not void anything and will give you the right to stay as long you want. Not doing so will expose you to significant inconvenience and potential fines. There are no changes that impact your situations.

You should enter and leave using the same passport. Preferably the Thai one.

You would need to fly out and return on your Thai passport if you are here on your US passport now.

You can also go to and immigration with proof you are Thai and apply for a one year extension of stay.
