Tourist visa to non O at Chaeng Wattana

Featured Replies

Hi, anybody out there who has solid information regarding how many days left on a tourist visa one needs to have to qualify converting that person into a non O at chaeng wattage immigration. Second question is, do I need to have my marriage cert stamped by the MFA and translated to thai even if it has already been authenticated by our embassy? Many thanks.

1. Immigration likes to see at least 15 days left of your permission to stay.

2. Yes. The MFA authenticates the signature of your embassy's consul.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

You need at least 15 days remaining on your entry or the 30 day extension to do a change of visa status.

If you are doing the change of visa status based upon qualifying for an extension based upon marriage you need more than just the certification and translation

Your marriage must be registered at an Amphoe and a Kor Ror 22 foreign marriage registry to apply.

You will need the certification and translations done plus the MFA certification to do it at the Amphoe. They will also update your wife's house book and change her ID card if she chooses to take your name.
