Sending liquids in the post from Thailand

Featured Replies

Hi,

A query...

I am wanting to get some samples of bath gels, shampoo etc sent from Thailand to Australia; 6 bottles of 35ml each.

The supplier tells me that Thai Post will not accept this; the only way is by courier. Does anyone know about this limit with postal items?

Thanks...

It's strange reading about this regulation as I order and receive liquid items all the time via post both from inside Thailand and from the USA.

The guy who sells these in Bangkok always sends by EMS, never a problem. I suspect he completely packages them up in his warehouse / office before going to the post office so they have no idea what's inside.

Officially forbidden but shipping drug also is.

As they xray 10 percent of the parcels sent by airmail the chance to be caught is very low.

Your supplier is just too stupid.

But very smart people as most members here said that it is actually ok to send liquid by post:

Sure that they are wrong about the official rules.
