Trat officials continue to suppress narcotics

The Deputy Governor of Trat Province, Mr. Surapol Saiphan, said provincial officials were able to restrain narcotic problems from the month of March to June this year.

According to Mr. Surapol, there had been some drug smugglings in Khao Saming District, in which the narcotics were brought by the local fruit sellers. Drug addicts and dealers between 15 and 30 years of age were arrested in the districts of Muang and Klong Yai.

Amphetamine pills were sold at 300 baht per pill, and they had also spread to Koh Chang District. Nevertheless, officers are continuing to suppress narcotics in Trat.

The Deputy Governor said officials are intensively checking for illegal drugs in various communities and villages.
