Hi all,

just wanted to give a review to the community.

Applied for a non-b visa in Singapore as I have been hired to be a managing director of a company. Documents supplied by the company.

Submitted 12pm on Wednesday and picked it up 2:15pm today. No problems whatsoever!

Off to Bangkok tomorrow to apply for the work permit then the extension of stay. Hope the rest of the process is a breeze!

Just goes to show. Have the correct paperwork, do all the right things and above all treat authorities with respect and everything goes smoothly. Let is know about the work permit application.

just arrived Bangkok tonight via Don Muang....

Had an immigration officer look at my passport and the form then told me to proceed. Got stamped a 3 month non-b visa, no hassles. Will apply for the work permit on Monday. :)

Will let the group know how it goes.

For reference, I have an Australian passport

Update:

Went to submit my work permit at the MOL at Din Daeng on Monday but had the application all written in English so they told me to come back today and submit in Thai.

Got it translated to Thai and submitted my application today. Paid my 100 baht application fee and told to pick up the work permit next week :)

HAPPY TIMES! :)

Hi Smiley

I've got to go to Singapore soon for a single-entry non-imm B visa, the same as you.

Just wanted to ask you a couple of questions:

1. Were all the documents you submitted in Thai, English or both ? I imagine the company-related docs should be in Thai and the invitation letter in English ?

2. I've read some other posts on TV and it seems that the embassy in Singapore stock very closely to the required docs as listed on their website. Did you find that to be the case ?

Thanks very much

Thai embassy in Singapore is very strict with the requirements and supporting documents. Anyone going there should give another one day's allowance in case of incomplete documents and you have to go again the next day.

Visitors applying for tourist visa should note that your exit Thailand date must not be more than 60 days.
