webfact
Japanese woman falls to death from high-rise condo BANGKOK: -- A 59-year-old Japanese woman fell to her death from the 28th floor room of the 33-storey condominium on Soi Thong Lor 8 after having a quarrel with her American husband last night. The woman was identified by Thong Lor police as Mrs Yuriko Fukazawa. She lived with her 63 year-old husband Stephen Charles Perrenod. She fell on the ground near the exit of the carpark with broken bones all over the body. There were two cut wounds on her left wrist. Police searched her No 310 room but found nothing unusual that showed there was fighting or ransacking of room. Initial examination of closed-circuit TV showed only her husband left the room while the woman did not come out. But police found medical bills of two hospitals purchasing stress relieving medicines. Investigation also revealed that the couple were engaged in quarrels for a period and again last night before the husband left the room. Police suspected three motives on her death – committing suicide, murder, and accident. But latest updates after her husband returned to the room early this morning showed both had a quarrel over jealousy. The husband told the police that although he had heated argument with his wife, he never assaulted her. He admitted that the quarrel started when she learned that he visited a massage parlour. They had heated quarrels and he twice challenged to divorce her and ready to divide his assets to her. He said his wife threatened to commit suicide if he again challenged to divorce her. He had a heated quarrel Monday night and her wife walked up to the window in the sitting room while he walked out to another room. He said he returned to the room shortly afterwards but she was not there. He was later informed that his wife jumped out of the room. He said he has many property in the United States and ready to give her if she agreed to divorce and returned to Japan for living. He also said his wife did not work but used to help him in the property business in the US before coming to Thailand. She stick by him and has her own private life, he told police. He also believed jealousy was the reason for her to take own life, adding that both had no sexual affairs for a long time, police said. The husband also said he had no other woman but merely visited massage parlour from time to time,Thong Lor police added. Just1Voice
Not being snide or rude, but sometimes I can't help but wonder how many actual suicides, from a tall place, make the jump, and on the way down wish they hadn't? Or is their death wish so strong, it overrides everything else?

Or is their death wish so strong, it overrides everything else? There comes a point for most suicidal people who have actually gone that far where they have accepted their mentality and fate if you will, they often will seem normal and not depressed by this stage because they have come to a conclusion and a means to end their suffering. In the final seconds however on the way down, who knows. Their body will obviously be telling them that they are going to die and instinct will kick in, but mentally they probably will be at peace with their decision

This has to be one horrible way to do it.... Are you kidding? Do you know how death comes from overdosing on such things as you described, actually what pills would you even suggest firstly? Organ failure is not a nice way to die, instant death from free fall however is as quick as being shot in the brain or close enough.

This has to be one horrible way to do it.... If it ever came to that point for me (and it won't) I would take an overdose of a strong opiate, puts you to sleep or flat-out stops the heart. Pills + whiskey would lead to a lot of nasty vomit and possibly choking to death, it is not a good way.
Malthus101
All Japanese husbands visit sex workers because in Japanese culture, after marriage and kids, the husband and wife don't even sleep in the same room anymore. Maybe it was the same kinda deal here with this American guy. A man has needs. Wake up ladies.

I didn't realize that "accident" was a motive now. I must not have got that memo. I guess it is though, if you believe in predestination and karma!
