We will be planning this once I am back in BKK. Can I change 60 day visa to a Non imm B once we have registered the business?

If you start the business employ 4 Thais not including your shareholders who (shareholders) have to own 51% of the business.

My experience is you have to apply for a 3 month non b then you apply for a work permit, once you get this you can apply for a years extension. All this you can only do after the business has run and paid tax for a year.  As in they can't 'invite you for 'job application' and 'employ' you until they have.

I have heard people say there is ways around it, not paying tax for a year or an investors visas, but I haven't experienced this.

If you open a language school you have to open a school not just a business and do all the checks involved with this.

yes, he is Thai. What if only the florist part is opened and I am just a partner. Do you have to employ 4 Thais if not going for work permit? Can the partnership non imm B be applied for from the beginning? (not wanting to wait a year)

Then a limited partnership is an option that could also provide you with a work permit in some areas/cases without the 4 Thai employees requirement.

Here is a link outlining the basics:

You can apply for a Single Entry 90 day non immigrant 'b' visa at a Thai Consular Facility outside of Thailand as soon as you have registered the company and applied for a Work Permit.
