KL - Non Imm O Visa Application

Featured Replies

Dear TV.

Just a couple of quick questions.

I note on the attached Visa Application form for the KL Embassy, there is a section that states "Local Guarantor", I am assuming that this is a guarantor within Malaysia.

Is this correct?

The only local Gaurantor I can think of would be my Malaysian employer (the HR department).

Would this be acceptable?

For info = I am British, residing in Malaysia on an Employment Pass being sponsored by my Malaysian employer. I am married to a Thai national (also here in Malaysia on a dependents pass under my Employment Pass, and being sponsored by my Malaysian employer). All other papers are OK (tambien bahn, marraige cert, kids birth certs). I don't have a Thai bank account as I need the visa to open one with, but have a Malaysian bank account as well as others overseas.

Thailand gaurantor will be my wife.

Thank you!

In Malaysia 'Local Guarantor' can be 'Self' or leave blank if KL operates the same as Penang, which I suspect would be the case.

I have always left guarantor blank.

They will want to see some financial proof reports for the single entry non-o. Perhaps they will accept your Malaysian accounts since you are working there.

You can open bank account here without any visa. You just have try different banks. If you wife is with you she can be your reference to open it.

Thank you for the info.

Is the Visa form I attached in my OP still up to date?

Is a 12 month Muti entry a possibility, considering that I am tax resident in Malaysia?

Or is a 90 day single entry the only possibility?

That will be depend upon the day and their mood. From reports I have seen they will not do any multiple entry visa.

A post containing incorrect into has been removed. OP is married to a Thai and will be not getting a retirement extension.
