Provincial Governors for Thai-Cambodian border provinces to discuss border and narcotics

Interior Minister Kongsak Wanthana (คงศักดิ์ วันทนา) indicates that the meeting of provincial governors of Thai-Cambodian border provinces will involve discussion of border problems, the narcotics problem, and tourism collaboration between the two countries.

Air Chief Marshal Kongsak Wanthana (คงศักดิ์ วันทนา) spoke to reporters before leaving to chair the 3rd of such meeting. He said Cambodia has been a neighbor with good relations with Thailand, and thus the issue of Thai-Cambodian border development and facilitation of travels through the border will be raised in the meeting, to improve convenience in border travels between the two peoples.

The 3rd meeting of provincial governors for Thai-Cambodian border provinces will take place today and tomorrow (July 6-7).

The Thai side will be led by Air Chief Marshal Kongsak, while the Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sar Kheng (ซอเค็ง) will lead his side of officials.

The chairpersons of both sides will also sign a meeting log tomorrow.
