August 15, 201411 yr Hi Guys, I am soon about to return back to the UK for a few months and would like some advice on taking prescribed medications back there, I will be taking a approximate 2 month supply for my anxiety disorder which would consist of: Approximately: 60 x 100mg Quetiapine tablets 200 x 2mg Diazepam capsules 60 x propranolol tablets I can already imagine there might be some problems at customs, do you think a letter from a Thai doctor will be enough to stop any problems? Has anyone else had to take similar medications back to the UK and has anyone had any problems? this is quite a big worry, Thanks in advance for anyones time and input into this,
August 15, 201411 yr This might help http://www.visitbritain.com/en/Travel-tips/Traveller-tips/Medical-and-health-information.htmI cannot find the HMRC list, they used to publish oneYou need to be even more careful if your travelling via one of the Gulf States, they have some pretty draconian rules. theoldgit
August 15, 201411 yr The medication is in line with what would be expected for a two month stay so really there should not be that much of a problem. A doctors letter would be a very wise move and keep the medication in its original packaging. There is no requirement to declare medication properly prescribed and dispensed but be prepared to show the doctors letter if requested.
