Hire car

Featured Replies

A Pickup ran into the back of mine yesterday, the driver admitted all liability to the insurance guy, and luckily he was also insured, so no problem there.

What I would like to know is can i claim a hire car off the other parties insurance when my truck is in for repair.

Thanks

Just had an answer from my insurance, and yes I can.

You don't claim anything from the other party's insurance, but you claim from the other party.

What is covered under his/her policy is of no concern to you, in other words: whether the other party has to pay out of his own pocket or via his insurance (probably the former in the case of renting a car) is not important to you, as long as you get paid.
