August 22, 201411 yr Hi everyone. I got a major issue with my EU passport (France). I got the dual citizenship as i'm Thai/French. However my visa (Student Visa) has expired long ago on my French passport. I own a thai citizenship ID but not a passport. What would be the solution to renew my visa without making a thai passport. I do know that making a thai passport would be more convenient but i haven't reached age of majority (20). Thank you for any further replies any idea on solutions are well accepted
August 22, 201411 yr You cannot renew or even extend your visa on an expired French passport. You will get better advice on the Thai forum about regularising your position. theoldgit
August 22, 201411 yr You will first need to sort out your overstay of 500 baht per day up to a maximum of 20k baht. The best way to do that would be leave the country and re-enter. You could of already gotten a one year extension of stay based upon your Thai nationality. You could get it after you sort out your overstay. You don't need to be 20 to get a Thai passport, Your parents do need to sign a consent form but do not have to go with you if you are over 15. August 22, 201411 yr I am sure he is in Thailand. In that case I agree, first exit and get the overstay sorted.
