My family will soon be visiting the states again. However, this time a 15- year old Thai boy will be going with us. My question is this.

If he was to break his arm how do we give the hospital permission to treat him?

Take along a letter, both in Thai and in English, from his parents stating your names and giving permission to order medical treatment if necessary.

Even better if you could get it chopped by your local amphur or thesaban, or local public health office, altho that's probably not necessary.
