Re entry on marriage visa

Featured Replies

If I get an extension based on marriage for a year can I leave Thailand and work in the uk for 4 months and re-enter on that marriage visa?once again sorry for my ignorance.

Yes, you will need a re-entry permit from immigrations.

1000 baht for single, 3800 for multiple re-entry.

After you get your extension of stay (it is not a visa) based upon marriage you can get a re-entry permit that would be valid until the extension ends.

No problem to be out the country for 4 months.

Oh right ok thanks,so I apply for the re-enter permit at the same time as the extension based on marriage?

correct

You can apply for the re-entry permit when you get the extension stamp. You will not have it until after the 30 day under consideration period after you apply for the extension.

Be reassured. the extension is complicated enough with copies and pictures of everything, if not witnesses. Re-entry permit is just about paying and waiting.

Not all that complicated I just did my 7th extension based upon marriage.
