I have a 2-entry tourist visa (valid for 60 days, plus 30 days: 90 days total) and will be traveling in and out of the country a few times in the next 3 months so I got a multiple re-entry permit.

However, the re-entry permit says it valid until October 6, which is 60 days from when I first entered the country, but I leave again for work in a neighboring country on October 4... Anyone know if I will be able use my re-entry permit when I return to Thailand on October 10 or will I have to get another re-entry permit at the airport when I fly out on the 4th? Any help/clarification would be great, Thanks!

Two entry tourist visa is valid to stay up to 180 days: 2 x (60 +30). Not 90.

You can get another re-entry permit but practically not very useful when used in the last month or so. If you still have a 2nd entry to be used, you can use that instead of re-entry and that would save you a border hop..

A re-entry permit is only issued for your current permit to stay (Oct. 6th). If you get the 30 day extension you could get a re-entry permit for the new permit to stay date you get (Nov. 4th).

It might be best to leave on Oct. 4th and use your 2nd entry when you return as long as it is before the enter before date on your visa.

Ok, so I have four trips abroad before my October 4th trip and will use my re-entry permit for returning from those, and then will re-enter using my 2nd entry on my visa when I return on October 10. Visa stuff has never been so worrisome here until this recent annoyance... definitely miss having my research and work permit!
