Looking for information about obtaining a work permit.

Anyone know about this company and its creds: http://cka.co.th/service.php?id=3 Can one get a legitimate work permit or visa this way?

Also, heard about the possibility of getting a sponsored work permit without being paid a salary and just paying minimum income tax for a person from one's respective country. Any info on that route?

Not looking for pontification. I'm not trying to do anything shifty in Thailand. Just want verifiable information.

I'm studying Thai now on an Ed Visa and learning quickly (mostly on my own, since my school sucks balls; luckily, this is the fifth language I've studied seriously, and I'm trained in linguistics, second-language acquisition, and am an experienced language teacher). But my Thai partner and I are going to open a little business together, and I just want to get my ducks in a row so I can put all my focus and energy into our business and not worry about pesky police making trouble and wanting bribe money.

Let me throw this out there, since I really don't have a clue when it comes to navigating visas for operating a very small business: If our business is registered in my Thai partner's name, could she then, somehow, 'hire' me and sponsor my work permit? If not, what would be my next best choice?

Thanks, in advance, to those who wish to share something useful on this topic.

The business registered by your Thai business partner would have to employ four Thai employees to qualify for the employment of a foreigner.

It's possible to get a sponsored work permit without being paid a salary, though it's just a case of knowing the right person.

Any site that advertise that stay clear of mate.

I think you will find that continuing with educational visa or extension of stay is, after all, the most viable option for you as an unmarried young man.

Unless you've plenty of money to throw into getting legal with your partner's business, with dubious chances of actual return, that route is just not practicable.
