Tourist Visa and Revalidation

Featured Replies

Hi dear...

I am going to Bangkok with a ticket one way from my country with 30 days tourist visa. I will buy other ticket for Laos to get out of Thailand and get other 30 days. I would like to know other options to extend my tourist visa because I will try to find job.

I will wait for your helps.

Many thanks

Starting the 29th this month you can extended further 30 days at any immigration office, for Bt 1,900. That is called visa exemption and extension, not tourist visa and revalidation..

There is no 30 day tourist visa.

You can get a 30 day visa exempt entry on arrival. But you may be denied boarding of your flight if you don't have a ticket out of the country within those 30 days. Or is that what your ticket to Laos is for.

You should apply for a tourist visa at an embassy or consulate before traveling. That would give you a 60 day entry that can be extended for 30 days. You can also get one that allows for more than one entry.

It's right, the Laos travel it's for that. The problem to go to embassy it's the money because it will be cost me 500 and with this money I can get out of Thailand 2times more and have 90 days if get out and get in by plain gives this chance to me.

And other problem is that the travel it's at 28th, next Thursday. I don't have too much time.

You can get your non immigrant B visa after you find work at an embassy or consulate in a nearby country.

There is no visa that allow you to work you have to have a work permit.

I made this question because one person that lives in Thailand told me that in Laos I can ask for a extended visa of my 30 days one.

A tourist visa only costs the equivalent of 1000 baht in local currency for each entry.

It sounds like you have been given some false info about getting a tourist visa.

What country are you in?

No no no... 500 it's the travel to come back to Portugal. Because I just bought one way.

I think you mean "500 Euro".

You do not need to travel back to your country. You can have a tourist visa issued in Laos, and other nearby countries too.

Are you thinking you would need a return ticket in order to get a tourist visa in Portugal. A onward ticket would be enough if they wanted to see ticket.

I see there is not much info on the embassy website. You could contact them to find out what is needed.

There is also a honorary consulate where you could apply. Info here on embassy website: http://www.thaiembassy.org/lisbon/th/organize/1655
