I have been working in Iraq for the last 2.5 years 6 weeks on 3 weeks off. I have 3 entries and exits from Thailand in my passport for this year. I have been advised to obtain a tourist visa from another country, Thai embassy in Manila. I am 55 years old and have enough money in the bank and enough monthly income to meet the retirement visa requirements. My question is has anyone else recently used this method?i.e. tourist visa from another country to get back into Thailand? I plan to apply for non immigrant B and a retirement visa ASAP once I am back in Thailand. Any information is greatly appreciated.

You will have no problem entering the country again and getting a 30 day visa exempt entry. Others have already done it with a similar history to yours.

There is no limit on the number of entries you can do and you don't fit the profile of in/out visa runner.

If you stay for 30 days and then go out and immediately return for another entry you are a in/out visa runner.
